This self-initiated project began with a simple question: Why is it so hard to keep track of the important moments in people’s lives? As a Product Designer, I wanted to create a solution that goes beyond reminders—a personal calendar that’s truly personal.

Remember is an app I designed from the ground up, taking it from concept to final UI. It allows users to effortlessly collect and organize all kinds of events—birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, and more—in one central place. No more digging through old texts or social media for a date you forgot to save. What makes Remember special is the layer of AI integration: when an event comes up, the app offers tailored gift suggestions based on the person and occasion, helping users show up thoughtfully and on time. This project was a deep dive into user-centered design, smart features, and making meaningful connections easier to maintain.

One of the most exciting parts of the flow was designing a dedicated path for AI-generated gift ideas. When a birthday or anniversary is added, users are prompted with the option to explore smart gift suggestions tailored to the recipient. This flow was designed to feel natural and helpful, not intrusive but yet adding value.
To ensure a seamless and intuitive experience, I mapped out the complete user journey for the MVP. This included key interactions—from adding a new event to browsing upcoming celebrations. I focused on clarity and minimizing friction, so users could easily build their personal calendar without feeling overwhelmed.

With the user flow defined, I moved into translating those journeys into high-fidelity UI mockups. Each screen was designed to reflect the simplicity and ease outlined in the flow—prioritizing clarity and minimal friction. From adding an event to browsing AI-powered gift suggestions, the final designs bring the experience to life with an intuitive, user-friendly interface.

To make celebrations even more meaningful, I designed a dedicated gifting experience powered by AI. When users click the gifting button on an event, they’re guided through a simple set of prompts—like the recipient’s interests, age, and relationship to the user. Based on this input, the app generates a personalized list of thoughtful gift suggestions, making it easier than ever to give something truly special.

To support consistency and scalability throughout the project, I built a custom design system in Figma. This included foundational elements like color, typography, and spacing, as well as reusable components and interaction patterns. The system ensured visual harmony across the UI and made iteration faster and more efficient—every element was fully functional and ready to plug into any screen.
